About Brook

Brook has been a Top Producing Realtor in Santa Barbara for 29 years, and is one of the few Berkshire Hathaway agents earning the Chairman’s Circle Platinum level. She has won numerous real estate honors including the Gates Award from the Santa Barbara Board of Realtors, and has had her listings and ground-breaking sales achievements featured in several Wall Street Journal articles.
As a Luxury sales specialist, Brook has closed everything from a classic Montecito estate designed by George Washington Smith to the ultra-modern home known as “The Glass Pavilion. ” She has also represented properties in all other areas of the local price and geographical spectrum.
She is also a freelance magazine writer, children’s book author, book editor, and newspaper columnist. Brook is President of Dare Wright Media, and has taught tae kwon do karate. She is Vice-President of The Board of the international animal organization Born Free. Brook’s community work includes past President of The Santa Barbara International Film Festival and Board member of the Santa Barbara Youth Performing Arts Center. She currently serves on the Regional Advisory Board of of the Anti-Defamation League.

Brook grew up in New York City, graduating from The Brearley School. She attended George Washington University and Columbia University, and has a BA in Cultural Anthropology.

Prior to her successful career in real estate, she was a professional actress starring on Broadway and television.
