Having Fun With Your Dog in Santa Barbara(Compiled with the help of my dogs, Digby & Maya)
Santa Barbara is a dog-friendly town. There are miles of beaches and wonderful trails to explore with your pet. Some beaches are even designated as off-leash. Arroyo Burro Beach (also known as Hendry's Beach) has a sign indicating which side of the beach requires leashing. Dogs also go wild over the Douglas Family Preserve on the Mesa and Ellings Park off Las Positas Road.
Many restaurants will allow your dog to join you at their sidewalk tables. Let me know when you're coming to town, and I'll give you a current list.
